There are several reasons why you may wish to remove a tree stump. As well as causing a hazard, stumps left after a tree has been removed are prone to infections such as honey fungus and infestations which can spread to other trees. Chemical treatments can be used but are often ineffective and are environmentally hazardous – so entire removal of the stump is by far the best option.
